LANDesk Software Bought - Will Become an Independent

LANDesk
Software, a global leader in systems lifecycle management, endpoint
security and IT service management, today announced
Thoma Bravo, a
private equity investment firm has entered into a definitive agreement
to purchase LANDesk Software from Emerson. The move aims to accelerate
LANDesk’s revenue growth and solidify its leadership position in
delivering an integrated portfolio for simplifying the management of
desktops, servers and mobile devices across the full spectrum of an
organization’s IT environment.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The acquisition is
expected to close by the end of September. At the time of acquisition
close, Steve Daly, executive vice president and general manager of
LANDesk, will become the CEO of LANDesk.

compound annual growth rate of 20 percent since 2002. LANDesk currently
