Matrix42: Former Altiris VP of Sales
Shane Eliason is President
July 2, 2009
Matrix42
has appointed Shane Eliason as president of its American subsidiary.
Eliason will be responsible for the entire business of Matrix42 in North
and Latin America.
Eliason comes from the international software vendor Altiris, where he
managed the overall sales for the Americas, including the public sector,
and partnerships with leading system integrators. He significantly
increased revenues in multiple markets as his area of responsibility
grew from $10 Million to over $135 Million. His broad experiences of the
IT service and systems management market was just what the Matrix42
Board was looking for in order to jump start its operations in the
United States and to achieve accelerated and sustainable growth in the
world’s largest software market.
"I am excited to join Matrix42 because of the vision behind the solution
portfolio," Eliason comments his reasons to switch to Matrix42. "I have
seen this before in the past: Matrix42 has the kind of pioneering spirit
and product strategy which has the potential to change the IT service
and systems management market. I want to be part of this process and
drive it with my experience. "
"Eliason
was our first choice. He has been working very successfully in the
American IT market for more than twenty years and knows his ways when it
comes to IT service or system management, "says Herbert Uhl, CEO of
Matrix42 AG. "These are the ideal qualifications for the tasks he has to
accomplish as President of Matrix42, Inc., our American subsidiary."
Prior to joining Altiris, Eliason gathered experience in the sales
departments of IBM, Simon and Schuster, and Peregrine. In addition, he
helped four American software start-up companies to succeed. He has
extensive knowledge in the field of modern distribution structures,
knows the challenge of selling complex software applications and knows
how to develop a sales team in order to achieve sustained sales growth.
"In the course of his previous career, Eliason has achieved impressive
sales to large corporations such as Boeing, Honeywell, United Airlines,
Intel, and Wells Fargo," says Uhl. "He can convince and inspire
important opinion leaders and decision makers - skills which will be a
great help to Eliason in his current position as head of the American
Matrix42 organization." |
